History

EXERCARE, originally known as Parma Invalid Supply, first opened its doors to the public in April 1973, on Brookpark Road in Parma, Ohio offering a line of rehab and invalid care equipment. Shortly thereafter it was incorporated as Brookpark Health Care. In 1979, due to increasing customer demand, the company began carrying its first lines of exercise equipment, with one of its main lines being the Exercycle.

Eventually three stores were opened in the Cleveland/Akron area, including the store in Beachwood, Ohio which is still open today. Each year there was an ever increasing emphasis on exercise equipment and the company began doing business as EXERCARE in October 1984.

The present owners purchased EXERCARE in May of 1990 and immediately began doing business as EXERCARE FITNESS EQUIPMENT. By the end of 1990 the medical part of the business and the name Brookpark Health Care were eliminated. Since that time, EXERCARE has expanded to fourteen retail locations in Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

We feature a new high profile image and fitness equipment lines from the industries top manufacturers. This expansion also has included the opening of a new corporate office and central warehouse, and a new central service center. These with the addition of dedicated commercial representatives and a commercial showroom, make EXERCARE the largest fitness equipment dealer in the region.
